Hi This is actually a purple glass vase approx 6.25 inches high and 3.5 inches across the top. the top looks all the world like the top of Kaj's Bullseye candle holders and even has the sides miildly sloping inwards. The base has a flat cut ring with
Nanny Still was born in Helsinki in Finland in 1926 and started designing for Riihimaki in 1949. She died on May 7 2009. 'Flindari' tumblers designed by Nanny Still and in production 1964-68.
Does any body know of a definitive guide to Riihimaki shapes or at least a reliable one, and while i'm on the subject what was the signficance of the 1976 Export Collection? I see it refered to often but can't seem to find much info.
Picked this up yesterday - thought it might be Riihimaki but it's got a seam that seems to be a poured seam, in that it goes down both sides and runs around the top. I haven't got any similar pieces with seams. Any idea what this is?

Unfortunately this is not my vase but it belongs to an acquaintance who's trying to identify the maker. She picked it up at a flea market with a few other Riihimaki pieces. It weighs about 2 kg and the base is clear glass. I'm going to do some google
