has anyone attempted to replace the timing chains and guides in a explorer befor? we have acquired one noisy son of a bitch explorer and we r too scared to drive it around anymore fearing the chains will break out of the covers. need timing chains

its been happening for a while now and once the temps get up over 36'c the old girl starts getting into the 3/4 on the temp guage. tried modifying the thermostat and blocking the by pass hose but to no avail. brand new radiator so next alternativ
