Hey all I just got a 1969 type 3 fastback. It has already been converted to early style carbs. I cant seem to get them dialed in so the car will idle properly. Anyone with some insight on the ol pancake engines would be great.
I've got a '70 type 3 squareback that chatters or stutters in 1st gear. The rest of the gears seem to do ok. I've looked around the web and found that it could be the front transmission mount that is loose or broken. I've not been able to see anything
So I understand what dropped spindles do from my mini-truckin days. Is there any reason not to run them on a VW? Seems like they are out there but not that popular? Don't they allow more suspension travel then adjusting the beam?
