Here's my alligator lizard "Killer Croc" using his/her prehensile tail: I'm curious as to why they need it because they spend most of their time on the ground. Most ground lizards don't have this ability.
I went hiking a couple of weeks ago and snapped a shot of this beautiful lizard. Apparently the females are this bright orange/apricot color and the males are a dark green with shades of blue.
