I just got a short block from a guy that sold me a 460 a while back and the block was cracked so he made good and gave me another block, i'm wondering if its a 429 or 460 whats the best way to find out ?
What's better, 460 or 429? I appreciate that it's basically the stroke that is different but what's the difference in performance, reliability, is one more revvy, torquey, etc etc
I've got Summitt and JEG'S and a slew of Mustang magazines but would really like to find a place that specializes in parts catalogs for the BBF? Do any of you guys that have speed shops put out flyers with specials or have catalogs? Feel free to email me
I have a 460 all built and ready to drop in my 77 4x4 which has a top loader 4 speed. Only reason I went with a Big Block is cause I was told it would bolt up. Today at the track a guy told be that the bell housing for a manual it not going to fit and
was it Charlie Evans that talked of these before?are they availible still?..also what distributor will work with that set up?,I believe it is the newer style a460 tunnel ram intake..thanks Brian Wheat
